The short answer is no. The 401 model is a hub, not a sensor. It will work as a monitor but only the 402 is a sensor. The 401 is powered by an AC to DC power supply unit that kits be plugged in and to have that setup on a moving door as a sensor is not practical. The 402 sensor unit is smaller than the 401 hub unit and the 402 is battery powered and is a positional sensor designed to mounted on the moving door.
