Yes, however you will need to buy the hub that is placed in your garage that connects to your home wi-fi. Setup and making a connection is easy. The free app will be needed and downloaded on your smart phone. I have this system on both garage doors. I can view and run both doors from my phone from anywhere without pressing anything else. You'll need to have a door opener that can be programmed with new remotes via a "learning" feature such as a Chamberlain opener. Garage door openers such as older Genie models with pre-programmed remotes probably would not work with MyQ.
