The controller must be connected via WiFi wherever the camera is used. I can view the camera from My Q or Alexa but can only open the door with My Q controller.

The garage door can be controlled the the myQ app if you have a myQ door opener. The camera is seen in the app and you can open or close it on the same page. Hope this helps.
