Apparently after 3 months is when it all starts to go down hill. Mine just stopped working today (3 months after purchase). I used it yesterday and it was perfectly fine. I guess it only lasts for 3 months.

I just bought mine on Saturday but I hand wash the tub and basket only, I will not put it in the dishwasher. You can also line the basket with foil, the air element is above the basket anyway

I have the same problem but I don't care. The more I clean it the more the black finish comes off the basket. Ehh...its ok with. Me.
