“Does it need or is it better to spray the tray with cooking spray first?”

• The manual specification says not to use any cooking sprays. So far I've had no reason to think it needs it. It's done great without it. Wipes clean after cool downwith paper towels. It does come with some sample drip pads, but haven't used them either.

• I use avocado oil, I just pour a little on a paper towel and wipe on the tray. Food doesn’t stick and it’s easy to clean.
