“I need to replace a hard line office phone that is connected to two other phones, with 2 lines. Need call forwarding, answering machine, volume control & speaker phone. Any suggestions? When I try to use the select feature it only provides wireless.”

Rob - Only the base of the VTech CM18445 requires connection to an electrical outlet and telephone jack/modem to get a dial tone. The compatible extension phone models CM18045 (Cordless Handset) and CM18245 (Cordless Deskset) connects wirelessly to the CM18445. The extension units only require connection to an electrical outlet. The phone system has a built-in Answering System, volume control and speakerphone feature. The system can only transfer a call from one extension to another on the same line but it cannot transfer a call to a different phone number. However, the unit is compatible with call forwarding service from your telephone service provider as long as you are subscribe to it.
