We would need more details about the previous device you had, but CB radios, such as the HH 50 WX ST, are generally unable to communicate with train broadcasts due to the fact that they function on completely different frequencies. Train communication systems are designed to operate on much higher frequencies, which have been specifically allocated for railroad operations. In contrast, CB radios operate on a lower frequency band that is designated for citizen's band communication. This lower frequency range is intended for personal and commercial use. As a result of these distinct frequency allocations, CB radios are not equipped to receive or transmit signals intended for train communications.
