- Answer all dash cams loop continuously on the oldest video so that you have the last few hours . You only care about the last few minutes anyway. Or maybe that last minute when your car got whacked

- Answer in full time and creates a series of files . if you have it set to come on with a motion trigger , it will keep starting each time it feels a road bump. Turn off the motion sensing

- Answer I am unsure because I don't own this model and the videos online are not well done. If you want a camera with night vision look for a camera that uses HDR/WDR and ignore ones that use IR LEDs This camera can use up to 32GB cards, newer cameras can hold 64-128 I would look for a better reviewed camera.

- Answer you need software called a transcoder . Mac uses VLC Handbrake and I am sure windows has the ability ...youtube will have the answer
