• Yes, you are able to manually trigger emergency recordings using the Emergency Record (hazard) button on the camera. It will save the clip before you pressed the button and continue recording after.

• this one is cool. this dash cam records in sections. you chose. i have mine set for 3 minutes increments. it has a built-in motion detection, and a manual button for event recording. what it does, it moves that current video into a separate folder for the duration of the video. if you need the previous minutes, or the next minutes, you just have to go into the overall folder and look for the previous or next video of the incident video.
