“Will it work while the car is parked and turn off?”

• Hi. Parking Mode will offer some video surveillance while the car is off. However, this feature only works properly if the dash cam is powered. Either the cigarette lighter socket must remain on with the ignition off, or the dash cam must be hardwired to a constant-on power source (use optional hardwire cord CA-MICROUSB-001). • Purchased this camera a few days ago. The camera is connected to a always on power supply and set to stay on for 24h. Sadly this feature does not work. Camera turns off after about 15 min. Car was broken into1 hour after parked and no video. Camera is being returned. Also after struggling to update firmware the speed display is stuck in kph and will not swith to mph.
