There aren't many dashcams that have a battery supply. It functions when the car is on therefore runs off the car battery. If you are concerned about wires - a kit is available to hardwire the cam to the car. If you are going to use the parking feature or surveillance mode it will be necessary to hardwire the unit unless they car chargers work when the vehicle is off. If not an external power source is needed for that functionality.

It has no internal battery supply
