will this unit record your speed null

Thank you for your question. Your speed can be recorded but this setting can be adjusted through the Watermark setting, if you prefer to turn it off. This setting allows you to toggle having the speed, date/time, GPS coordinates, the Cobra logo and a custom Driver ID be stamped into the bottom of all of the recorded videos.
