“Does Out of Box mean fully assembled? If so, what is the width? I have to get it through a 23” hallway. If it’s assembled, can I remove the arms and easily reattach without harming it?”

It does not come assembled, you’ll have to assemble it. But yes the arms are easily removable if you ever need to get them off. Beware the back of the chair only comes up to around your shoulder area so no headrest.
