A:AnswerI don’t see why it wouldn’t be compatible. My car is a 1995 Acura Legend and they were able to install it with no problem. I would call Best Buy car stereo department and check with the Technician. All they had to do was get a new compatible relay or wiring harnesses.
A:AnswerBest advice from me is to call the best buy store nearest u and ask for the geek squad car electronics installer. He will be able to answer whether it's a system your car will accept or not. Surprised u don't already have some sort of security system with a new car from the factory
A:AnswerI have a 95 Tahoe with a broken automatic lock system so this isn't exactly the identical scenario but it's close enough to take into consideration. IMy Tahoe only had the passenger door to use a key with. The driver's door key hole is empty and just turns without resistance when you put a key in it, however it does lock fro the inside. The rear cargo doors key entry is super difucult to turn and lock/unlock. So, all the while, the auto-lock mechanism does work occasionally if I try to use it. but that's why I had the alarm installed was to not necessarily have an alarm but to have a affordable repair on the locking system done and to my delight everything now unlocks with a push of a button from the Best buy alarm installation. (I didn't mention beforehand to the installation tech that the vehicle had these locking problems). so to answer your question out right the answer would be a solid I don't know however my conclusion would be if you just buy the product and schedule the install you're going to come out with a happy result like I did. one critical side note you should thoroughly consider doing is buying the total tech protection planb so I think it was around 90 bucks I think it's called that but it gives you a free install on the alarm product as well as a ton of other service work basically free for a year as well as a antivirus for a year for up to six devices so my value I found was in the antivirus the alarm install and then I had a car radio a subwoofer speakers two amps I already owned installed in my wife's car. all I had to pay for on that was the price of a amp wiring kit and soo next I'm going to have thim come out and hang a TV in my living room on a rack that I already own good luck with everything.
