- Answer I have a 2015 Tundra with key. It worked fine. I did have to buy a vehicle specific harness (also from Compustar). BestBuy website has a compatibility check to see if this will work on your vehicle. Just need to enter what kind you have. I would suggest to let them install it. Mine was a bundle that included the install and harness.

QuestionI have a 4runner with a push start and had this system installed. The remotes that were in the box is not able to pair to the system even though the required additional wires were included. I've had 3 techs and 2 visits to the shop. Any idea?

QuestionI remember my mom use to have a remote starter that she could program to start the car every couple hours on extremely cold nights. It would start and run for 15 minutes and then shut off and repeat every couple hours. Can you do that with this remote?

- Answer I have a 2015 Tundra. On mine, I can use the original key fob, the one that came with the car. I press "Lock" 3 times to start and also to stop the remote start. I think you are asking "Does it need to be near the car for driving?" No. Only to start and stop. It works like your door locks.
