By the year 2000, most vehicles came equipped with an electronic chip of some sort. The product in question contains features compatable with these chips.( so your auto door lock unlock feature is more likely to work) The cost of the item for me was guestimated just under 200.00 varies by location Beacouse I'm a best buy cc holder and member, the instalation was or should have been free, for others there is a minimum charge. Wich will be waived if applying for credit card. I'm 99.9% this device would work for your truck, however, they may have a product better designed for trucks.
