I was told because your key fob will now communicate with the new receiver, that the range may not be very far.I purchased the accessory remote fob that goes with this unit, gives about a 3000 foot range.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.They destroy one of your keys and require an extra wiring harness for some vehicles. Ours was a 2017 Passat and required both. Plus, make sure the installer has experience with this product. Ours made a two hour install take two days because he was inexperienced with Volkswagens.
