• Thank you for your question. As stated in the previous answers, we do not need WiFi in order to boost signal. We only use cellular signals coming from carrier towers.

• No, you do not need wifi at all to use this booster. In fact, it helps you use your wifi hotspot on your phone to link your computer by Bluetooth to the internet.

• No. I put mine up in a remote area so that I could get cell service and internet on my cell phone. It did work. Not amazing, but got the job done and from what I read its the best one on the market. If there is truly NO service or signal anywhere it cant do anything to help you, its only a booster. But if there is any trace of a signal then it does make a difference. You have to install an antenna (comes with it) to retrieve the cell signal and then its hardwired into the signal booster (included) and then hardwired into the wireless module (included) that shoots the signal around in your area. Not sure what the coverage area is supposed to be but its not huge where I am using it, but then again didnt have alot to work with from the start.
