The installer did have to cut my granite. It was an additional $125. I had a complete kitchen install and for each appliance that needed modification to fit, there was a separate charge. The fees vary by installer. I had to replace my cooktop a second time and they had to build up the inside with wood, the 2nd installer did not charge me for that.
