Hi DG, I am just seeing this so I may be too late to be of help. I did not go with Kitchen aid for my stovetop. The professional installer told me that switching one GE model for another GE model "almost always" fits the same cutout so fortunately mine was an easy installation but if you can contact the Best Buy installers they are should be able to advise you. Good Luck. Hoffer
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Someone from the installation team will first go to your house and measure your current cooktop cut out and compare it to your new replacement. They will tell you if you will need to cut it to make it fit or not . They charge $75 for each side cut (but make sure the price per the cut is written down or emailed you or some form of proof that that was the original price per cut as they tried to charge me $125 for each cut.... I was able to get the employee to call his boss and agreed to the original quoted price per each cut. Overall, very professional employees and they know what they are doing. Highly recommend to use their services as they are knowledgeable in installation and measure the correct cut out to make your new product fit and be up and ready for your next meal.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, you will have to have your granite cut by someone else. We just had our cooktop installed and ran into the same problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will be required to modify the dimensions. They only hard wire it and drop it in.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The men that showed for my install had to cut a 1/4th inch off our granite and did a great job. I'm sure that they can do any modification that you need. The only unknown is the cost to make the unit fit correctly. My Best Buy men must do this every day because they knew exactly what to do and got to work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.NO, the installers will not make any adjustments to your counter or cabinet openings. Ours didn't fit either (off by 1/4") so it was wired up and left sitting on strips of wood over the counter opening until we could get the granite guys out to grind the opening larger. ps: we even had Best Buy come out for a consultation to make sure the new cooktop would fit in the opening....that obviously did not do us any good and was a waste of our time.
