I wouldn't. You need a two radiator liquid cooled fan or a great air-cooled fan for a 2700X, especially if you are overclocking. I used this for a while on a 3600 and it cooled just fine. The 3700X and the 3600 both have wattages much lower than the 2700X. More wattage = more heat.
