• Yes. Run the rgb wires to the lighting node and the fan connectors to the commander pro. Use ICUE to adjust rgb on your fans

• Yes, a Commander Pro can drive up to 6 standard PC case fans by itself - no fan header on the motherboard is required for this. The fans can be controlled on the Commander Pro using the Corsair iCue software in Windows.

• The fans plug directly into this instead of into the mobo fan headers and get their power from a standard SATA connector to the Commander Pro so yeah.
