My computer case came with a manual of how to install the parts, and it said point the fan DOWN.

The orientation of your PSU fan will depend on your case. If your case has ventilation where the PSU is mounted, you would want to point the fan in that direction so as to allow it to draw fresh air from outside of the case. If you don't have ventilation where the PSU is mounted, you would want to flip the fan side away from covered surface so that the fan isn't blocked. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The PSU fan pulls air in and exhausts the warm air out the back. My case has a screen covered opening for the intake of air on the bottom, so mine is pulling air in from there. The PSU has an button on the back to have the fan run only when temp rises. I think that would work best with the fan facing up so the heat can rise out of the PSU when the fan is off. I have been running my fan continuously.
