QuestionIs there a way to mute the mic or some how stop the sound of the mic and just have the audio for the headset because I have a blue snow ball mic and I want to use that for my mic but I don't have a headset yet?

- Answer Yes you can mute. It has a nice red light on the mic indicating the device is muted. The muting is via button on the left headset.

- Answer I have a MacBook Air and they do work with mine. Just have to remember that you need to go select them under the sound option. So yes they should work with your MacBook!

QuestionWhat sort of quality is the cord? Is it flexible, rubber, braided, ect... My last USB headset eventually suffered from shorts in the cord which I would like to avoid if possible.

QuestionDoes this have mic monitoring? As in, can you hear yourself through the headset when you speak? Manufacturer's really need to specify this because it's quite a make or break type of spec.

- Answer To answer your question you have to put the microphone in your mouth for you to hear yourself but I can hear my voice just fine without mic monitoring. I have heard people say there side volume is locked at 25% but it seems they just need to reinstall drivers for it.

QuestionCan anyone recommend a USB wired headset that is 7.1 capable with great loud sound? I had a Logitech G430 but girlfriend vacuumed up the cord & it is ruined. It wasn't the loudest & I paid $80 for it years ago. Looking around the $50 mark. Thanks!

QuestionHow large is the ICUE file? My older PC is about maxed out on storage space and I need to know how large this file is after installing. I have a Logitech G430 and girlfriend vacuumed the cord and destroyed them. They were not very loud to begin with.

- Answer To be honest if you're out of storage space you shouldn't be buying light up peripherals. You should invest in a new or second storage drive or think about getting a new computer. Solid state drive prices are really low now or you can get a giant hard drive for ultra cheap as well. Good luck!

- Answer They don't have a batter they are powered by the USB cable. So to answer your question yes, they are just plug in and will continue to work as long as you want.
