A: Yes you can mute. It has a nice red light on the mic indicating the device is muted. The muting is via button on the left headset.

A: This is a comfortable headset even with my glasses. When my computer goes to sleep the lights on the headset do shut off.

A: No, it does not work on Xbox one s.

A: I have a MacBook Air and they do work with mine. Just have to remember that you need to go select them under the sound option. So yes they should work with your MacBook!
