“I got these used without the 7.1 surround adapter and now I need a splitter to use them. Does any kind of splitter work or do I have to get a specific one for these?”

Hi Alex, You can use standard 3.5mm splitter for mic/headphone, but you would want the original version if you want to enable surround sound within iCUE. If you'd like assistance, please contact our support team directly, we'd be happy to assist you further: support.corsair.com -Brian
