- Answer Hey! Although I don't have a Mac, I cannot imagine why it wouldn't work. You have the option of using the USB port to connect or just the headphone jack. As long as you have those, you should be good!

QuestionCan I plug a different microphone into the headset? The microphone that is provided is way too quiet.

- Answer NO, but if your a gamer or if you stream or do podcasts you can still use the headset with an external microphone. When online with my Xbox playing COD I always get complaints on how loud the mic is for the HS45s so you might just have a defective pair of headsets. I will get an exchange and if it’s still the same use an external microphone as mentioned above. And if still low feedback just switch to a better pair like the HS 50s or 60s and up!! Good luck!!

- Answer It should be, even though you need splitter for a headset you don’t need one with the usb part of the surround sound which is great! You’ll be greeted with a “mic on” from the corsair app indicating it is on. 10/10 on my end.

- Answer It had a dongle adapter that you plug the 3.5mm jack into from the headset and then connect it to your computer with the USB end of the dongle. You can also plug it into the 3.5mm jack of the computer directly if you don't intend to use the 7.1 surround sound or microphone.

- Answer You can however the bass isn't ideal for bass heavy music, sounds quality is decent but if you're gonna get headphones purely for music id recommend music dedicated headphones

- Answer Yes the headphones sound great and can get super loud. I recommend that you use these for pc mainly for the Corsair icu software so you can tweak the settings for the headphones, as for consoles they are great as well but do use the usb to headphone jack that comes with it to lower lag delay. The mic is also good but in my opinion they do sound low out the box if you are able to adjust your mic settings in pc or console I highly recommend doing so. Overall This is a great headset for a low budget and is capable to use for any games or music purposes.
