Yes you can use it with or with out. But if you use it with you can use the program from Corse Air to change the led color and to adjust fan speed and pump speed. The connector attaches to any free port on the motherboard main board does not go on the outside jab ports. Has a standard mobo connector.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes ... you only need the fan connection
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will work without the USB connection. However, the rgb lighting will no work and you will not be able to monitor fan speed and Temps using corsair link. The connection is a USB 2.0. Connection on your mobo. Why not use it ? You should have extra.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just set one of these up and it's fine without the USB. You can't see the speeds, but you can still control it. Also if the RGB LED in the head matters to you you'll need the USB and the CorsairLink software to change colors.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All that does Is help you look on the Corsair Link software and see how the pump Is working u can use It without that yea
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.USB connection is for fan control and temp readout. Should work fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will work without the corsair link connected, but I'd recommend installing if you can, as I find the control of fan speeds really nice. Corsair link just connects to one of the usb 2 headers on your mobo
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes and yes you just will not be able to control the RGB or monitor temps through Corsair link
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I dont believe it would, The cable itself has a male mini usb port on one end and a 20 pin USB header connecter on the other. That is placed into a slot on the mobo (doesnt matter if its 2.0 or 3.0.) The wire is for monitoring temps, voltages, stress, fan speeds, and of course powering the pump.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it's a USB connection to the motherboard not an actual USB port
