I do not think this is the best product for that, although it would probably work. The main module has to be plugged into SATA power off your PSU, so that means it will reside inside or very near your PC case. Then you would still have to connect the module through USB to your PC using the supplied cable or an aftermarket one. Once thats done, you can plug in the strips... They need to be connected to the module, so that means additional wiring from the main module (which is likely inside your case) to the monitor. This wont be pretty, durable, or convenient without some more work. Then you would stick the led strips to your monitor in exactly the place you want them first try, because the magnets would be useless. Then I would worry that the magnets in the strips would somehow affect the monitor signal/picture, although I could be completely wrong. I have to believe there are leds much more suited to this available and for a cheaper price.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you just need to run a mini usb cable to it. Which you can plug in externally with a different plug then they provide but will function the same
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. These are really intended for going inside your computer case. The lighting node requires an internal USB 2 header and there aren't any extension cables to cover any dead space between the computer, desk and monitor. That said, there's really nothing to prevent you from running them out of your case and sticking then elsewhere,. I should call out that the lighting strips are not just sticky backed, but are also magnetic, so you might want to think about that as well in terms of placement. Overall, I think there are better and more cost effective lighting options than running these outside of your case. I use PPA International LED strips on the back of my desks and there are a lot of setup options with that lighting (including splitters and extension cables). Best Buy also has a few options in their catalog.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes as long as the 3 pin connector is plugged in
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately not, these are meant for be strips within the computer itself. The linking node connects directly to the motherboard in order to work
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only if you get a microusb to type a cable along with a sata to 5v adapter. I cut the end off a old USB cable to power mine and put it above my desk.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You could, but you would need to program it with a computer first, and it won't change colors with what is on the screen.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. The strips all have double sided tape on them so it’s just peel and stick.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.you can but, I don't recommend it because they are magnetic and usually magnets distortion the monitor colors plus if you get them wet there's a big chance a short circuit can mess up your motherboard, power supply etc.
