There's no need to be skeptical...the PSU is more than enough. Do you really think Corsair would release something that was "questionable"? The PSU in question is supposedly a Corsair SF400. However, there's no official model with that designation...so, they either created an SF400 specifically for the Corsair One, or it's really an SF450 "in disguise". Either way, it carries an 80 Plus Gold certification. As for how well it powers the CPU, the i7-7700K has a TDP of 91W, typically drawing approximately 50-55W at idle, and maxing out around 145-150W at full-load. In regards to the GTX1080, power consumption rarely breaks 180W at stock speeds, and rarely breaks 210W when overclocked (of course, this depends on how much you're OCing. I've got mine OCed quite a bit (clock OCed to 1959MHz), and the GPU still remains cool. NOTE: DO NOT OC CPU BEYOND 5GHz, AS INTEL HAS WARNED SEVERELY AGAINST IT, DUE TO THERMAL ISSUES. My recommendation is to use MSI's "Game Boost" feature from the BIOS. I've been custom-building systems (mostly for gaming) for over 20 years, and, in truth, I never thought I'd buy another pre-built desktop. After reading numerous reviews, as well as creating a theoretical parts list cost, I realized that it would cost approximately the same to build a system like this as what Corsair is selling them for. This truly IS the best pre-built gaming desktop ever released. The CPU & GPU are excellent choices (even knowing the heat issue with the i7-7700K). The only...and I Do mean ONLY...downside is Corsair's use of their own SSD (while the Force LE is "good", it's not "great"), as well as the RAM (they could have easily used 3000MHz RAM, instead of the "slow" 2400MHz RAM. Also, I'm not sure that 16GB RAM is enough. Thankfully, both of these "problems" are easily corrected. Swapping the Corsair Force LE SSD for a Samsung 850EVO/PRO is extremely simple. While swapping the RAM isn't as easy, it's still fairly easy to do - I swapped the 16GB (2x 8GB) 2400MHz for 32GB (2x 16GB) 3000MHz. My advice - GET THE CORSAIR ONE PRO !!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
