Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Based on your system specs the motherboard is a Odense2-K. While the specs say it supports 2400 it is only if "PC4-19200 (DDR4-2400) (with Pavilion Power chassis only). I cannot tell if yours is a Pavilion Power Chassis, however there are a lot of issues with people switching to DDR4-2400. The Bios in this HP does not support XMP. Since I am pretty sure it comes with 2133mhz so it would be hit or miss and most likely a miss. It has 2 slots and I think it came with 8 gigs of ram. The chipset is an intel H170 so I would venture to assume that DDR4-2133mhz would be the only solution. Now the motherboard supports a total of 16gigs so II would get a paired set of 8 gigs each. I know that it may have 1 stick of 8 in now, you could try to match it and add a second stick. Risky. You wont see much of a difference between the 2133mhz and the 2400mhz. I used this memory in a Ryzen 5 build I just did. I could of went up to 3000mhz but I knew that I would really not see the advantage. Now from the specs I see that there ia a regular HD 7200rpm SATA. If you really want to speed this up get a SSD drive. Im partial to SanDisk but the Samsung EVO is nice too. I always get them at Best Buy. So you can run the SSD as the boot drive and keep some games on that drive and the 1 T drive as a second drive for all the other programs.
