Please try again later.Both slots are populated, but if you check reputable reviewers, such as Jarrodstech on Youtube, it has been found that with DDR5 this is not nearly the performance impact as with prior DDR standards, It is very correct that with DD4 having a single stick of RAM can impact performance in the 20+% range on average, and much more on highly bandwidth dependent applications. DDR5 is significantly rearchitected and does not behave in a similar manner. I am curious if this will hold true when much faster speeds become common and much larger capacities are employed, but for now, unless that last 2% really matters it is arguably a benefit to have one, as you can double your capacity by purchasing a single additional stick in the future aas prices continue to fall.
