How many players can play null

From what I have been able to find out, it looks like the single-player adventure mode has 4 players in a race (you and 3 computer controller characters), online multiplayer supports up to 8 players and local split-screen supports up to 4 players.

Below details are also given on the backside of game DVD. ADVENTURE mode: only 1 local player can participate. LOCAL ARCADE: 1-4 players ONLINE: 1-8 players

I believe it's up to four player local coop and includes online multiplayer mode.
