It will but then you will have the cricket factory apps taking up your storage space which would be useless and then you might wanna put at&t apps on your phone. At&t makes the Hauwei ascend xt2 which is the same phone. That would be a better buy.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As long as your service is active, yes this phone will work with both ATT and Cricket (same towers are used). Your phone does not have to be unlocked to use on either company Cricket is owned by ATT, and are the same when using towers. My daughters have this phone in the elate and ascend xt2 models, both phones are the same hardware but slightly different apps on the phones. Both phones are active on the cricket network, I just switched the sims from their old LG phones. They both love the battery life! The elate model is white, the ascend xt2 is branded att and is black. Phone cases can be found for either model and fit identical.

Cricket will only do this if you've been buying their service for some time period (6 months maybe? check their web site). Some places on the internet will offer to unlock it, for about $50 or so, but that path looks kind of shady.
