“Does the dipper come with a lid and is the primary crock pot safe for stovetop use?”

• Yes it does come with the lid, but it is very cheap. The only thing it would be good for is to prevent spatter coming out of the pot. It has absolutely no insulating qualities at all.

• Mine cane with a lid and the instructions state that the main crockpot is not intended for stove top use

• The small dip warmer does come with a lid. The large crock pot does get warm, but would be safe to sit on a stove. Unless you are asking if the removable pot itself is safe for stovetop cooking, I have not tried that.
