The inside does seem loose on mine, but has had no effect on cooking, however, I have recently had one of my recipes a little overflowed with juices and it runs into the gap Between the ceramic and the cooker. It is definitely something to be aware of. It drains right out Onto whatever surface area it's sitting on.
