However, we do not recommend installing the consumer grade drives in Server, NAS, or Workstation. Crucial sells consumer grade SSDs which are designed for standard day to day use, like you would find in a personal desktop or laptop, other smaller mobile computing devices, and high-performance gaming/work systems. In an enterprise environment like a server, a drive can be subjected to 24/7 operation, often with a combination of high writes and erases. Enterprise drives like the Micron® 5400 or 7450, for example, are designed to handle continuous operation, with high amounts of erases and writes. A consumer drive will lose performance drastically when subjected to continuous writes, an enterprise drive will have a steady level of performance over the given period.     • Answer Sadly not unless you want to void whatever warranty you may have from your local retail store or HP themselves by open the case and disturbing internal components. There's even a chance you do that and the case to the laptop wont close around it letting in more dirt and debris. If you are running to storage issues I recommend a Crucial - X9 Pro 4TB External USB-C SSD or other EXTERNAL DRIVE, same storage capacity, approx. the same price and only needs a USB-C type cable to connect to your laptop simple enough a cable to find
