You can have your old SSD cloned to the new drive so you will not need to install anything. Go to your local Best Buy and ask them to clone the drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My understanding is Windows is sort of "attached" to your motherboard, so if you reload a fresh Windows install, you should be okay. If you wish to save all your data, you will have to clone your current drive on your computer with a program like macrium. They do have a free program you can download but you will have to find a way to hook up your new SSD to your computer to be able to copy it. I bought an adapter from Amazon that allowed me to copy my hard drive to my new drive.
