“I have a 2017 MacBook Pro and want to up my storage will this fit? Also If it does fit will I need to do anything to the software after I install the hardware? Or will it just recognize it?”

• This will not, you cannot upgrade SSD, or anything really, of newer macbooks. You could get an external SSD or toss this into an external enclosure to USB for more external storage.
