Thank you for reaching out and for your question. Yes, part number CT2000MX500SSD1 is absolutely compatible with your Late 2014 Retina 5K 37-inch iMac. One thing to also note is that the current HDD that is installed in this system is a 3.5 inch drive where as the Crucial SSD will be a smaller 2.5 inch drive. You may also want to search around for a 2.5 to 3.5 inch enclosure so that you can secure the new drive properly when installing it.

Please try again later.Anything that is sata 3 compatible, it's the connection and size of the drive that is important and if that particular Mac is upgradable as some models are locked downwith proprietary hardware.
