Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, with the correct mount or ductape always works in a jam. I think the Dell hard drive carts are a little wonky but you can get ones that hold 2 2.5" ssds stacked and for right into the old 3.5" mount from what I've found after the fact. But yes. I upgraded an old optiplex with a2.5" ssd and 8gb ram and it was exponentially faster with boot and load times. Even the max ram you can upgraded to on those is generally 2x higher capacity than they originally advertised from what I remember.
