I believe that there is some confusion here. The crisper tray is the metal part, with openings in it, that is suspended from the bottom of the basket. This allows for cooking, air circulation, and dripping of fat down into the basket, from which it can be poured out after cooking. The orange part (silicone, not rubber) allows for cooking something that you would NOT want to drip down to the basket, like eggs, while still providing a non-stick, easy clean surface,
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are talking about the orange rubbery thing, I called Customer Service because I had no clue what it was for either. They didn’t seem to know either because they told me it was to put the food in while cooking for easy cleanup. Great idea except there are no holes in this container so your food just sits in the grease while it’s cooking. That does not make any sense and defeats the whole purpose of an air fryer. They did not seem to know what I was talking about.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Most air fryers have the tray at the bottom, Bob. Look at other brands and you will see this.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have used to crisper tray to make nachos with, warm up things like mini eggrolls, tater tots and other things. We generally will use it when warming or cooking small amounts of food so we don't dirty the big basket.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I used it for air frying my meat or fish to achieve a crispy texture without using oil or grease. I coat it with cornmeal and let the air fryer do the rest.
