Q: Questionwill this unit make toast and english muffins

• A:Answer The unit is great for everything except traditional toast. This is our opinion after several rounds of toast making resulting in very dry toast. With that said, the drying out seems to be because of the distance between the heating elements and the toasting position. We find to get a medium toast shade, the toast is extremely dry due to the time it takes toast the bread. Think about how close the heating elements are to the bread in a pop up toaster. We wound up just purchasing a two slice toaster, dedicated to only making toast. Don't get us wrong, it does everything else great, but toast is not its forte . Still worth having for all the other great things it does.

• A:Answer No, there is not a defrost option on this Cuisinart. Don't know the difference between Breville and Cuisinart ovens. Yes, Pyrex and Corning ware can be used. It is a great warm, broil/broil convection, toaster, bake/bake convection, and air fryer machine. Glad I bought it.

• A:Answer I cannot imagine why you would not be able to. It comes with a metal rack and drip tray. I would, though, instead put the bread on a slice of parchment paper that you put on the drip tray. That seems to me like it would be easier. But, as I said, I cannot imagine why you could not do it the way you asked. BTW, this has become my all-time favorite thing ever. EVER!

Q: QuestionWhen I use the Air Fryer my house fills up with smoke and that's with my overhead kitchen fan on. Does anyone else have this problem?

• A:Answer Initially, I had this problem. But as I kept cooking with it, I realized my temperature setting was too high. Most recipes and frozen food items called for the temperature setting to be somewhere between 350 and 400 degrees. That is way too high as this oven cooks at a much higher level (1800watts) than the conventional oven. Any frozen food items I cook are usually set to around 300 degrees and when I cook raw chicken, I start out at 325 degrees and then possibly increase to 350 degrees depending on if I need food to brown a little more. I normally cook frozen food items starting at 10 minutes and cook chicken/meat starting at 20 minutes, but I check every 5 minutes to ensure there is no over cooking on one side. I hope this helps.

• A:Answer Hi, I have been using any of the air fryer recipes I find on line with very good results. As always you have to keep an eye on things as they cook, which is easy to do with. the interior oven light.The capacity of the oven is greater than most of the regular air fryers. I think Cuisinart have a real winner with this machine and I love it!
