- Answer You have to hold the bottle firm as the screw enters the cork. So yes, it does require wrist strength.

- Answer Once charged, simply place the device directly over the cork, push the up button until you feel the cork come free. To release the cork, just press and hold the down button and out it comes.

- Answer Only thing I can think is you received a defective one. My first one worked well for years and I just ordered another one. Mine has done the job effectively.
