Does it work on champagne cork? null

Not needed for that and probably would not recommend to use sir to the pressure.

We didn't try it on champagne, but I believe the champagne cork would be too big to fit.

I doubt it. Never tried opening champagne with any type of wine opener. The fun of opening champagne is the pop when you hold the cork, and twist the bottom of the bottle until the cork releases and enjoy.

you should never use a corkscrew on champagne, its quite dangerous
