“Does this toaster oven make noise while it's on? I bought one that had a ticking sound the entire time it was cooking something which is very annoying to me so I'm looking for one that is quiet. Thank you!”

Ijust had to return mone as all of a sudden it b began making a loud hmming/buzzing sound upon turning it on for a few seconds then it would disappear. From what I read there ae sesveral defects of the oven that can caue this and since it was under warranty Cusinart is replacing it. Sounds electrical and I don't want a fire!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The first one we bought made an annoying and relatively loud "hum" at all time that it was plugged in. We did not experience any other noises when the unit was cooking. We returned the unit and replaced it "in kind" and the second unit is quiet through the cooking and "off" periods. Suggest you take it back and try another one but have it checked at the store to assure you that it will work properly before you leave. Best Buy allowed us to do this with ours.
