A:AnswerIt's 16 inches across the front, from left to right. Plus, there are vents on the left, right and top, so you need to allow space for the heat those throw off. We were surprised to read in the manual that you're not supposed to use this toaster oven under cabinets. That's because it generates a lot of heat--more than the old toaster oven we replaced. So allow plenty of air space around this oven.
A:AnswerIt has no auto shut-off for bake or broil. These functions will need monitoring to prevent overcooking. Toasting has auto shut off, of course. The exterior is cool enough. I have had no safety issue. Hope that helps.
A:AnswerThe only auto off function it has is for bagels and toast. For baking and broiling, you have to time it yourself and then turn it off manually. In this aspect, it's more like a traditional oven than a toaster oven.
It would be nice to have, but I've ended up being ok with it.
