“Does this grill plate reverse to a griddle?”

• Yes, just push the black plastic buttons on the sides to release the plates and (first making sure they are very clean) flip them. They easily click back into place by aligning the two notches with their respective fittings. Also, the Griddler 5 will lay open and flat to make a double size grill! AND, you can select different temperatures for each half of the appliance to accommodate different types of food. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Blu52

• Yes, it does. There is a release button for each plate and the process is very easy. I have to add that this is done before turning on the power.
