This coffee maker turns off when it is finished brewing the coffee. There is no hot plate. The stainless carafe keeps the coffee warm.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot. It stays hot for quite a long time. I've poured a cup of coffee and hour later and it was still nice and hot. This is my second grind and brew. I wore the other one out!
