The manufacturer pamphlet says" This mandoline is built of quality stainless steel and is designed for low maintenance and long product life.. it is dishwasher safe, but we recommend hand-washing to prolong the life of the mandoline even further. " Hope this helps. I wouldn't have issues with putting it on the top rack of the dishwasher. Usually do a once or twice trial run and see how my new products fair. I have found with products that contain plastic or rubber that have not been created to use as a heat resistant item...are not best suited for the dishwasher. Not all plastics are created equal! Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Given that it is stainless steel, the answer is yes. Would I? That answer is no. Dishwashers can dull fine chef knives and can also leave a slight residue on surfaces that are not open to the spray of water. For that reason, I always hand wash mine. The design and blade guards make it relatively easy to do so safely.
